From 12-Year-Old Anne’s Journal — November 15, 1982  – GOOD            “Nellie comes back home for her birthday & Nancy is super jealous. Oh, Nelly is unbelieveably (sic) nice & so is Willie. Nancy runs away & Nellie finds her and they are friends.” ____________________________________________________ From Tracy — Anne’s on vacation so I am hosting this barn dance this time. She’ll be back for the next post. I have to say that I really did enjoy watching Nellie all the way through the series. And it was fun to see her grow up and deal with all of life’s challenges as a spoiled sociopath who somehow makes good. It was especially wonderful to see her become a blissed-out bottom to a small Jewish top. Who knew...

Laura gets mad when Johnny carves Mary’s initials in the sweetheart tree. Ma tells her not to worry & that’s the end.” ____________________________________________________ From Anne — Here we go again: Johnny Johnson chasing skirts. The sheep just aren’t enough for him. Just kidding. What strikes me in this puppy love episode is Mary’s contempt for Johnny. She calls him, in the aggregate, a “stupid, addle-brained, homely numbskull who looks like a scarecrow.” Looks like I goofed, though.
