He made them snake meat stew and he shot a hole through the roof. Ma & Pa came back early to see Laura & Mary & Carrie.” ____________________________________________________ From Tracy — Finally some comedic relief amongst all the birthin’ and dyin’! I don’t remember this episode much except for the bonnet that Ma doesn’t buy. I like the pink bow in her hair that she wears to the theater much better anyway. She set out to climb a mountain cause she wants to be closer to God.” ____________________________________________________ From Anne — You can smell it from a mile away: Michael Landon wrote this episode and packed it full of Protestant angst. Bible verses are recited in a gloomy room after Baby Ingalls expires, Doc Baker regrets that he’s not as powerful as God, and little Laura takes on the guilt of Judas.
